He needs to keep his head in the game and focus on the job or he could end up getting her killed. She might not think she’s in danger, but his gut tells him differently.

A writer and a SEAL equals a match made in heaven.

Peyton, a well known romance writer, is in the midst of writing a new book when her home is broken into. Thankfully, she's with a friend when the break in occurred, but her agent, Ben, is positive that someone is after her book. Yes, it seems a little farfetched, but unfortunately there really are people that will go to some extreme lengths to acquire a book for pirating purposes. Her agent's solution is to hire a bodyguard from Guardian Angel Protective Services, GAPS.

Thus Noah enters Peyton's life and things will never be the same for either of them. Noah, a former SEAL, is not what Peyton expected when she reluctantly agreed to Ben's suggestion. That works out because Peyton isn't what Noah imagined as a writer either. The attraction is immediate, intense, and reciprocated. Noah knows his focus needs to be on keeping her safe, not on getting her naked. But when you're together 24/7 it's hard to maintain the necessary professional distance.

As they try to keep their relationship strictly platonic, they begin to learn more about each other and the attraction steadily strengthens. Then one day they literally run into each other and they can't fight the attraction anymore. Lips are sealed together, bodies are touching, and this is finally going to happen...until they are sexy time blocked (yeah, I had to clean up the usual term for it. LOL) by Noah's boss calling in for an update.

Noah is immediately shocked back into "we can't do this mode" and inadvertently hurts Peyton's feelings when he tells her they can't act on their chemistry. Of course the next day things are understandably awkward, but they both try to move on as if nothing happened. That's easier said than done as they both feel the rightness of this thing between them.

After Noah rescues Peyton from an attempted kidnapping, neither can deny how much they need and want each other and this time they're able to follow through on the passion, numerous times. *wink* Things quickly change when Noah gets a call saying Peyton's case is over and resolved.

Is this the end for them? Is Peyton truly safe now? Who was the mastermind behind the plot against Peyton? Will they get away with it and her book? Will Noah be able to save Peyton a second time? I suggest you one-click this book now and find out. It's a good short story with a believable romance and mystery. I didn't feel like anything was missing from it, as can be the case sometimes with novellas, because I think Paige did a good job of completing this story from beginning to end without leaving us wondering about any unanswered questions.

On a side note, I loved the glimpse we got of Noah's family life and how his Dad's desertion impacted his whole family, including his Mom, Eileen, and younger sister, Erin. His Mom is a sweetheart who isn't so subtle about her wish for Noah to settle down, how much she likes Peyton, and that she knows he doesn't view her as only a client. His sister about loses her ever loving fangirl mind upon seeing Peyton, her favorite author. I love that Paige included this about Erin. I've been known to fangirl squeal myself about my favorite authors and I'm sure we can all completely understand what Erin must be feeling.

So again, I say check out this book and other works by this author. I know you'll love them.

Short story but amazingly complete

Peyton Matthews is an author who writes action-romances but her life is rather ordinary until someone breaks into her beach home in an attempt to steal her latest manuscript. Thinking it is ridiculous that her publisher hires a bodyguard she isn't completely happy ... until she takes a look at former Navy SEAL Noah Chase. This new member of GAPS (Guardian Angel Protection Services) is gorgeous. So having him around just might not be a hardship after all.

To say that Peyton wasn't what Noah was expecting is a mouthful. He was prepared to watch over a gray-haired/ glasses on the edge of the nose women but this woman ... . How is he suppose to keep his mind on protecting her when it and his body are reacting as if he were a teenager?

My SEAL Bodyguard might be a short story (approximately 93 pages) but a lot of world building is accomplished, in that I mean we get to know Peyton and Noah who manage to have some personal conversations despite their immediate attraction. There's some interesting action, including him helping her with a fight scene for her book, add to all this is some funny moments from his mother and sister because who better than they to embarrass a macho SEALs?

If you enjoy books with hot SEALs, a heroine who is solid and with her head on straight, intriguing twists and turns with a little peek into the life of an author My SEAL Bodyguard will give you all this and more.

Fantastic read

This is a great short read that pulls you in from the start. Believable storyline and Paige Tyler has a way of making all the characters seem real. You feel as if you are living the life right there with them. A witty way to have you laugh and understand how real it all appears.

About the Author
Dr. Herbert Lockyer was born in London in 1886, and held pastorates in Scotland and England for 25 years before coming to the United States in 1935. In 1937 he received the honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Northwestern Evangelical Seminary. In 1955 he returned to England where he lived for many years. He then returned to the United States where he continued to devote time to the writing ministry until his death in November of 1984.

Excellent Book!!

This book is perfect for anyone who wants to really know the men and women of the Bible. It is especially excellent for Bible students. Although the book is large, it is lightweight. The photos and other images make the book come to life. It is also a handy book for Bible study since it is a quick reference book.

Excellent source of reference

Written alphabetically, these two books combined as one, provide entries for more than 3,000 men and 400 women. Both sections of the book, for men and women, are filled with fascinating information and insights.

In the first section of the book, there is an opening chapter entitled, 'The Romantic History of Bible Names' in which for example, the function, symbolism, and influence of Bible names are discussed.

In the second chapter, after a brief introduction, names are recorded alphabetically. A meaning is given for each name, usually with a prophetic application, and is accompanied by its biblical reference(s). For some,for example, 'Coz' there are only the briefest of biographical details, while for others, for example, 'Rehoboam', fairly extensive biographical details and insights with practical applications for believers today are included.

A shorter third chapter makes reference to 'The Great Host of Unnamed Bible Men' and this is followed by the fourth chapter, 'The Greatest of All Bible men, Jesus Christ.

In the second section of the book, there is a useful introductory chapter outlining the 'Life and Lot of Bible Women, including reference to polygamy, divorce and family. Detailed exposition is then provided alphabetically in the next chapter, for each named woman from Abi to Zipporah. Examples of subsequent chapters include: 'Nameless Bible Women', Symbolic and Representative Women'and 'The Ideal Woman Among Bible Women'.

In both sections of this double book, there are useful lists and indices. I have really enjoyed dipping into different chapters but am now looking forward to following the author's suggestions for more detailed study of a Bible character.

About the Author

Tom Hope is an applied machine learning researcher and data scientist with extensive background in academia and industry.

He has background as a senior data scientist in large international corporation settings, leading data science and deep learning R&D across multiple domains including web mining, text analytics, computer vision,sales and marketing, IoT, financial forecasting and large-scale manufacturing. Previously he was at a successful e-commerce startup in its early days, leading data science R&D. He has also served as a data science consultant for major international companies and startups. His research in computer science, data mining and statistics revolves around machine learning, deep learning, NLP, weak supervision and time-series.

Hezi Reshef is an applied researcher and PhD student in Machine Learning at the Hebrew University, developing Machine Learning and Deep Learning methods for wearable device data, and working on using wearable devices to monitor patient health. He has worked at Intel Corp., leading Deep Learning R&D for monitoring and predicting patient outcomes using remote sensing and wearables. Prior to Intel, Hezi was at Microsoft, leading Machine Learning R&D for mining telemetry data, predicting software bugs, user segmentation, and other projects.

Itay Lieder is an applied researcher in Machine Learning and Computational Neuroscience and a PhD student at the Hebrew University, in collaboration with the Gatsby Computational Neuroscience Unit at UCL, studying the human perception with massive crowd-sourcing experiments on Amazon Turk. His current work focuses on predicting and understanding the way humans react to sounds (e.g. music), via multiple online interactive experiments.
