Este libro es uno muy bueno para animarte a empezar a invertir. Sin embargo, ten en cuenta que aqui no se revela ningun secreto oculto, mas bien, mediante experiencias personales y algunas citas de quienes alguna vez dijeron algo motivador y emprendedor para tener exito. Esto debe ser visto como una introduccion: que hacer y que no hacer antes de empezar a invertir en la bolsa de valores. Es altamente recomendado si lo que necesitas es un empuje para tener en consideracion la inversion como medio principal de ganancias, como bono, recibes buenos consejos para ejecutar al momento de ahorrar dinero, lo cual es util seas un inversor o no.

Just in my first few glances through the book, I learned a ton about passive heating and cooling - lots of stuff I hadn't even considered after having already read a bit about the subject. I definitely recommend this to anyone building a house. Even if you already have an existing house, there are things you can do.

Subtitle Misleading - This Book is about Passive Solar Heating

A more accurate title / subtitle would be: The Passive Solar House: The Complete Guide to Heating Your Home. I say this because there is only a page and a half out of 224 pages given to cooling (that is pages 110-111). I realized that I may have purchased the wrong book when I read in the Preface the following:

"The knowledge imparted in this book has been accumulated from over 30 years of data gathered from several hundred solar homes located in the northern tier of the United States, from North Carolina to and including Canada and west to the mountain states. These are locations that are primarily focused on heating."

I live near the gulf coast, and was interested in learning about passive means to cool my home, in addition to heating. (As I write this just after midnight, at the end of November, my Air Conditioner is necessarily on!) This is probably a 4 to 5 star book for those living in the cooler regions of the country, and I do not intend to discourage those living in such areas from reading this book. And, if I move to a cooler region after retiring, I will probably pull this book out and review it.

Good book. Detailed calculations are helpful. Drawings are helpful, but in the Kindle version is difficult to read. Best to buy the hardcopy, as there appears to be no way to get the software on the CD via download. It's worth the $1.25 difference in price.

I first saw this book at my wife's eye doctor and was very interested with some of what I read and its format.On the 2nd visit I got all the info I needed and purchased it on Amazon. It is used but you would never know it because it looks like new.Great book and came in about a week from "England".If your interested in history this is the book for you.

Although there are many publications which discuss the history of the ancient horse, few focus their attention on the origin and development of the various breeds. Most publications examine the horse's contribution to human history through its role as transport facilitator and military machine, and concentrate mainly on subjects such as the origin and development of chariot and cavalry equipment and changes in military tactics over time. This book examines what happened when humans took the horse from the wild and domesticated it for their own use. This focus was taken as it was felt that the understanding of the huge role which the horse played in human history can only be improved by gaining an understanding of the equally huge role which humans played when they took horses from the wild and, through many hundreds of years of daily interaction, cross-breeding, and training, facilitated the development and spread of many breeds across the ancient world. This book takes as its chronological focus the Greco-Persian world of the second and first millennia BC. This time period was selected for examination as it was during these two millennia that the vital role which the horse was to play in human history became fully apparent. The second millennium BC saw the development of the vast chariot forces which were to form an important part of the armed forces of numerous lands, from Mycenaean Greece in the West to India and China in the far East, while the following millennium saw the gradual replacement of chariots with cavalry forces, which continued to play a vital role in military warfare right up until the beginnings of the twentieth century AD. Part One traces the history of the horse from its evolution to the development and spread of chariot and cavalry forces. Parts Two and Three examine the famous horse-breeding regions of the ancient world and, through an analysis of archaeological, iconographical, and literary evidence, attempts to determine why these regions were famed for horse breeding and what were the physical characteristics and given attributes of the various breeds.

About the Author
Thomas Donaghy was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Greek and Roman Civilization and Ancient Greek from University College Dublin in 2002. He went on to work in the Irish horse breeding industry, completing the Irish National Stud's Thoroughbred Breeding and Management Course in 2004. He was awarded a PhD from University College Dublin in 2009 for his thesis "Horse Breeds and Breeding in the Greco-Persian World". Two articles were published from this in the Journal of Veterinary History: "The Origins of Equine Medicine" (2010) and "Feeding the Ancient Horse" (2002).

Author speaks from first hand experience about songwriting but with specific regard to Christian songwriting. Would be an excellent read for anyone doing songwriting but even moreso in this regard. Author gives a great cursory glance of topics to include: lyrics, theory, music form, poetic form all with examples where they have been used. Excellent book and resource!!

A Must Read For Christian Songwriters

This is like a manual for Christian songwriting. It's also a great book for songwriting in general as well. He pulls from many different sources and goes relatively deep enough to entertain and educate both beginners and the more advanced.

The only downside to the book is that it does feel a little on the educational side. Like a textbook. But like I said it's a must have and a must read if you want to write Christian Music.

review of the taphonomy and paleoenvironmental settings of
fossil deposits as well as guidelines for developing
ecological characterizations of extinct organisms and the
communities in which they lived. The remaining three
chapters treat the history of terrestrial ecosystems through
geological time, emphasizing how ecological interactions have
changed, the rate and tempo of ecosystem change, the role of
exogenous "forcing factors" in generating ecological change,
and the effect of ecological factors on the evolution of
biological diversity.

The six principal authors of this volume are all associated
with the Evolution of Terrestrial Ecosystems program at the
National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution.

About the Author
Richard Potts is professor of anthropology at the George Washington University and director of the human origins program at the Smithsonian Institution. It's as advertised -- and exhaustive and exhausting

"Ecosystems" is 500+ pages, and could easily be expanded to ten times that. This is the first book I found to discuss all major life-bearing periods from an ecological standpoint.
Minor nits: I wish at least a couple of periods had been treated in depth. The writing could be a bit crisper. And as a layman, I would have appreciated a glossary for some of the words that don't show up in my Webster's Unabridged.

Classic textbook edited by a Who's Who in terrestrial paleontology from the last 25-30 years. The chapters are in-depth, but the writing is not incomprehensible for the casual reader. Two thumbs up!

THE PROSE IS BOTH EXACT IN ITS DESCRIPTION OF GEOGRAPHIC DETAILS AND COLORFUL PEOPLE AND SOMETIMES LYRICAL. THE READER SHARES THE ADVENTURE OF EXPLORING THE MINING CAMPS AND MEETING THEIR INHABITANTS WITH THE AUTHOR AND WILL ALWAYS TREASURE THE EXPERIENCE.

If you love Napa, this is a must read!

This book offers a look at life in Napa in 1880. While not written as a historical accounting of Napa, it is none the less and is as enjoyable as Lin Weber's books on the history of Napa Valley.

I found this book to be informative, entertaining, and a must read for anyone who has a passion for literature, wine, and Napa Valley.
